Integrated Holistic Solutions offers therapeutic, holistic and integrative services to Charlotte and the surrounding areas. Our certified and licensed practitioners provide clients with the tools and resources they need to maximize their environment and improve their well-being.

Our Mission

Our mission at Integrated Holistic Solutions, PLLC is to provide customized services using a holistic approach to the wellness of the entire person. Our highly trained professionals work closely with each client using conventional and alternative medicinal approaches to meet each client’s individual needs.

Dr. Brelonda R. Walker, DBH, LPCS, BCIM, NCC, BC-TMH is the founder and President of Integrated Holistic Solutions, PLLC. Dr. Walker is a licensed professional counselor supervisor in the state of North Carolina and a licensed professional counselor in the state of South Carolina. With over twenty years of behavioral healthcare experience, Dr. Walker is also board certified in Integrative Medicine and as a Tele-Mental Health Provider.  She also supervises clinical graduate students completing internships from various universities and is an Assistant Professor of Psychology.

Dr. Walker provides therapeutic interventions for people with Depression, Anxiety, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Grief and Loss, Career Transitions, ADHD, Insomnia, and a host of other psychological conditions. She is trained and certified in several modalities including: Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Advanced Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. In addition to psychological conditions, Dr. Walker also treats clients for the psychological effects of chronic physiological conditions such as Fibromyalgia, Lyme’s Disease, Hypothyroidism, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Sleep Disorders, Diabetes, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Hypertension and many other autoimmune disorders. Dr. Walker collaborates with physicians in traditional medical settings and also works with clients at the Integrated Holistic Solutions’ Huntersville office. She provides evidence-based therapeutic interventions and integrates behavioral health care into medical settings to improve patient outcomes.

Dr. Walker received the Doctor of Behavioral Health degree from Arizona State University where she was inducted on both the national and state levels of the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi.  As part of her doctoral training, she completed an academic year long internship at the Lake Norman Community Health Clinic (LNCHC) under the supervision of medical director Dr. David Cook, MD.  Dr. Walker led the implementation of behavioral health services into the primary care setting at LNCHC.  She trained both medical and administrative staff on the assessment, diagnosing and treatments of comorbid behavioral health conditions seen in primary care settings.  While there, she also conducted a prevalence study on the frequency of depression in women with chronic fatigue.  Her findings led to an improved clinical care pathway for patients at LNCHC who displayed symptoms of either depression or chronic fatigue.

Dr. Walker also holds a Master’s of Science in Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She is a professional member of the American Psychotherapy Association, the Patient-Centered Primary Care Collaborative, American Counseling Association, the Licensed Professional Counselor’s Association of North Carolina, and the Practitioner’s Alliance Network.  Dr. Walker holds Diplomat status with the American Association of Integrative Medicine.

In her spare time, Dr. Walker enjoys traveling and spending time with her family and friends.  She is an avid reader of research publications on integrative medicine and enjoys sharing her knowledge on natural remedies and healthy recipes to aid the body in its healing processes.  Her passion for helping others is evident in all areas of her life.

Dr. Katherine Wassung, DNH, CCT, affectionately known as Dr. Kat, is a Doctor of Natural Health and a Certified Clinical Thermographer. She obtained her undergraduate degree from Albertus Magnus College in New Haven Connecticut. She studied at Clayton College of Natural Health for her Masters of Science and completed her Doctorate from Kingdom College of Natural Health. Her passion for health led her in the direction of thermography and she completed an advanced certification from the International Association of Medical Thermographers, (IAMT)

Dr. Kat is a compassionate, knowledgeable, and caring provider guided by the standard of “where there is life, there is hope”. She directs her patients to their path of overall good health by partnering with them to take control of their health no matter where they are in their journey. Dr. Kat uses thermography as a significant health assessment tool for the foundation of her work. She is a liaison and consultant for the providers at Integrated Holistic Solutions by utilizing thermography to help locate problematic areas, monitor healing, and offer safe and effective health screening for the entire body.

Adele Jordan,LPCA is the a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPCA) who enjoys working with children, individuals, couples, families and groups as they journey through emotional and behavioral challenges. She graduated from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary with a Master's degree in Christian Counseling and is a member of Psi Chi, the International Honor Society in Psychology. Adele also obtained a Bachelor’s degree double majoring in Biology and Chemistry, allowing her to enjoy a satisfying 15 year career in the Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical fields before being led to pursue Counseling.

Adele believes strongly in a holistic approach to life and healing. In her counseling, she provides a safe atmosphere where feelings, thoughts and beliefs can be explored without judgment. She empowers clients through support, education and skills building. Adele is able to work with clients experiencing various challenges including depression, anxiety, bi-polar disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, grief/loss, relationship issues, parenting issues, family therapy, job stress, self-esteem issues, implementing boundaries, and emotional dysregulation. Her eclectic style of therapy pulls strongly from Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. She also enjoys utilizing Play Therapy when working with children.

During her free time, Adele enjoys spending time with her husband, family and friends. She is an avid reader and enjoys traveling to new places. Her upbringing in the Caribbean island of Barbados has allowed her to appreciate and embrace various cultures. She is an active volunteer in the community and has a passion to uplift and inspire others.

Emily is a professional fitness coach with experience in private health club and university settings. Her areas of expertise include distance running, indoor cycling, weight training, and functional fitness. She holds a group fitness instructor certification from the American Council on Exercise. She is passionate about helping clients reach new heights of energy, strength, and confidence through challenging and efficient exercise.  Emily firmly believes that exercise can and should be mentally and physically stimulating and enjoyable. She is excited to be part of your wellness journey.

Emily recently moved to the Charlotte area from Washington, D.C. She grew up in Houston, Texas and received her bachelor’s degree from Baylor University in Waco, Texas. Outside of work, Emily enjoys running with her dog, gardening, cooking, and traveling.

Dr. Chrissy Davis-Allen joins the Integrated Holistic Solutions team as our Naturopathic Doctor. Chrissy Davis-Allen, ND graduated from Bastyr University in 2001 with a Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine. At Bastyr, she also received her doula certificate, craniosacral training, and a massage therapy certificate. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in biology from St. Lawrence University in 1994. While at St. Lawrence, she studied abroad in Costa Rica. It was there that she was first introduced to herbal therapies and medicine from the earth.

Chrissy Davis-Allen, ND practiced in Connecticut for 12 years. These years enriched her life and practice in naturopathic medicine. She practiced with chiropractors, massage therapists, DOs, acupuncturists, and APRNs. Working alongside these colleagues taught her the importance of integration in medicine. Through these experiences, she was able to treat individuals for a number of conditions including allergies, digestive issues, anxiety, depression, women’s health, Lyme, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, children’s health, musculoskeletal health, autoimmune disease, and more. These individuals taught her the amazing power of the human spirit and the strength of natural medicine.

Chrissy Davis-Allen, ND has also practiced in Colorado where she was exposed to mountain life. She has recently expanded her repertoire by completing training in the use of reiki and essential oils. Through all of her experiences, she holds dear the encounters she has shared with her patients and the relationship forged. Chrissy Davis-Allen, ND employs an individualized plan composed of homeopathy, nutrition, physical medicine, and mental/ emotional supportive techniques for all of her clients.

When she is out of the office, she enjoys spending time outdoors- biking, hiking, running, and kayaking, with her husband and three children.

Laura T. O’Connor, MSW, LCSWA is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (LCSWA) with a Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work from the State University of New York at Albany (SUNY Albany). Laura also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with a minor in Women and Gender Studies from The College at Brockport, State University of New York (SUNY).

Laura graduated from SUNY Albany with high honors and specialized in geriatric Social Work and medical Social Work while completing two internships. Laura worked closely with individuals and families in a residential nursing home setting where she used Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy and Family Systems Theory to provide therapy and a social outlet for the elder population. During her second year of interning, Laura worked with individuals diagnosed with various forms of cancer, learning to adjust and cope with changes physically, psychologically and mentally.

Laura has experience in a variety of conditions including: anxiety, depression, grief and loss, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADD/ADHD), autism, borderline personality disorder, anti-social personality disorder, chemical dependence/substance abuse, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), domestic violence (DV), complex trauma, anger management, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) and assisting individuals to learn and apply coping skills for medical diagnoses and lifestyle adjustments. Laura has also worked extensively with culturally diverse populations with unique environmental, socio-economic and family system challenges. Originally from Upstate New York, Laura gained wide-range exposure to severely, persistent mentally ill individuals (SPMI) while employed in an inpatient psychiatric hospital setting for four years. It was here that Laura learned how to properly identify individuals in crisis who may also have co-occurring mental health and chemical dependency. Laura was trained to apply the Crisis Intervention Model to assist individuals to recognize negative patterns of behavior and how their thoughts and emotions influence them. Laura’s most recent experience includes working with children, adolescents, adults, couples and elder adults in an outpatient mental health clinic and three elementary, middle and high schools in New York State. Laura’s primary focus with children included interactive play therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectal Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Psychodynamic theory to help children explore and identify their emotions while using motivational techniques to influence behavioral change.

Laura’s passion for mental health education and suicide prevention awareness deeply reflects and influences her approach and modalities during psychotherapy. Laura believes in the core values of Social Work practice, which emphasizes a client’s strengths, abilities, talents and resources utilizing a strength-based and client-centered approach. Laura also practices Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Dialectal Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, Positive Psychology, Attachment Theory and Mindfulness with clients to help explore trauma and/or life altering events and how their feelings, thoughts and behaviors affect their quality of life.

As a new resident to Charlotte, NC, Laura enjoys traveling, reading, running, shopping, discovering new cuisine, visiting new beaches and spending time with her husband and Ragdoll cat named Buffy. During her time in undergraduate studies, Laura studied abroad in Spain while also visiting Portugal and Morocco.
